QuickBooks Error H202 and Firewall Settings

A common reason for QuickBooks Error H202 is firewall restrictions that block communication between workstations and the server. QuickBooks requires specific ports to be open for data sharing. If these ports are blocked, users cannot connect to the company file in multi-user mode. To fix this, configure your firewall manually or run QuickBooks File Doctor, which automatically adjusts settings. Once the firewall is properly configured, workstations can communicate with the server without encountering Error H202 again.
