Steel sheets that have been coated in a zinc layer to increase their resistance to corrosion and durability are known as galvanized plain (GP) steel sheets. Through a procedure known as galvanization, in which the steel sheets are submerged in a bath of molten zinc or electroplated with zinc, this protective zinc coating is applied. Because of their exceptional resistance to rust and corrosion, GP sheets are highly prized for outdoor and marine applications where frequent exposure to moisture and inclement weather is expected. Roofing, cladding, fencing, automotive panels, and agricultural equipment are among the usual applications for these sheets. GP sheets are available in a range of widths, grades, and thicknesses to meet diverse needs. The steel's aesthetic appeal is further enhanced by the smooth and glossy surface quality that the galvanized treatment offers.
